The soles of the popular VaporMax 270 and 720 models by Nike are made from more than 70 percent recycled materials. The French sneaker brand Veja, for example, uses organic cotton and wild rubber soles from the Amazon region and sells almost two million pairs of sneakers each year. Great design must prevail, coupled with new materials, recycling options, resource conservation and / or humane conditions in production. This is what the industry needs for sneaker heads, according to the Highsnobiety Report 1) Good design and responsible implementation So what can streetwear brands do to create both short and long-term change when it comes to the impact on the environment and people? On the other hand, there are high-priced articles, mainly sneakers, that become veritable collector's items. ![]() And this consumption cycle is intensively promoted by advertising and new collections, which puts pressure on consumers. The business model has turned streetwear into a quickly consumable fashion. The increasing demand meant that quantity came before quality. Luxury and fast fashion brands pounced on the easily producible, high-margin items with the aim of finding appeal with the young generation. With this mass, streetwear can no longer be classified as a niche from which it originally came. The numbers according to Highsnobiety speak for themselves: the value of the exclusive streetwear brand Supreme is estimated at over $ 1 billion, almost 25 billion pairs of sneakers are produced annually, and streetwear brands produce up to 350 different articles per year. ![]() Streetwear - From the niche to the identity expression of an entire generation The special report of the online magazine Highsnobiety: Streetware has a sustainability problem, makes clear where the problems of sustainable street fashion lie and shows three basic solutions. Strictly speaking, streetwear is in the Fashion world exclusively for urban casual clothing of the younger generation and in the beginning it was only worn by skaters, sprayers, but also rappers and clubbers - i.e. To date, this has been distributed in different directions, so that a uniform definition is hardly possible any more. The full version of Grand Theft Auto VI map has not been revealed yet, but Rockstar has confirmed that the game is actually set in Leonida, a fictional state that includes Vice City and other areas. The official description from Rockstar reads: “Grand Theft Auto 6 heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.” However, fans should know that Vice City is really just one part of the greater Grand Theft Auto VI map, as the game is set in the greater state Leonida. Even with the somewhat weak start, investors must not get overly bearish without proof. However, in an earlier piece, I provided readers with three reasons why September may actually offer a bullish surprise for investors. September is starting in classic, historically weak form. Her Barrier Orb ability is still one of the most versatile defensive skills in the game, and her Slow Orb is reliable (and annoying) enough to make it so much more than a gimmick. Sageĭespite her “I am both Shield and Sword” audio line, Sage really is more of a defensive character. However, if you’re able to make the most out of Chamber’s Headhunter and Tour De Force abilities (both of which summon powerful weapons), then you’ll quickly learn to appreciate this Agent’s “economic” playstyle and ability to really hold an area and win a lot of gunfights. I don’t mean for that to be a dig at anyone who thinks the reason they don’t like Chamber is that they’re not good shots, but Chamber really is as much of a “marksman” agent as you’ll find in this game. ChamberĬhamber is a weird and fascinating character whose best abilities really require you to be pretty confident you’re going to hit the shots that matter most. He’s not dominant, but he’s almost always useful. Phoenix’s kit makes it easier for him to play around corners (which is something that Counter-Strike players are going to love), and his “resurrection” Ultimate is an almost always useful way to play aggressively and get a read on the map. He’s an easy recommendation for anyone whose other choices have already been picked or anyone looking for a great “introductory” Agent. ![]() I think this will be a controversial recommendation simply because recent pick and win rates don’t necessarily support the idea that Phoenix is one of the best Agents in Valorant at the moment, but there is something to be said for Phoenix’s consistency and versatility. However, if you’re looking for a little insight on what the best Agents in Valorant are at the moment based on player reports, pick rates, win rates, and general viability, then here are our picks for the best Agents in the game at the start of the Episode 4 update meta. Indeed, your choice of Agent is typically more dependent on the current map, the rest of your team’s composition, and what you ultimately feel most comfortable with rather than their “objective” power level. While it will probably take you quite a while to really learn the ropes in Valorant, the good news is that it’s certainly possible to learn to excel with any of the game’s Agents. Valorant’s tactical shooter gameplay will remind many of Counter-Strike, but the game’s Agent system really sets it apart from Valve’s multiplayer shooter masterpiece. Her ultimate is also one of the strongest in the game, hence why it now costs a whopping nine ultimate points, a massive nerf.Valorant‘s recent Episode 4 update not only introduces a new agent (Neon) but gives anyone who may have stepped away from this game since its 2020 debut the perfect excuse to dive back into what has proven to be one of the most compelling competitive multiplayer experiences on PC. Viper succeeds when she is played as a sentinel and used alongside another controller, tending to perform poorly as a solo controller, which is why she gets slotted into A Tier instead of S Tier. Viper‘s ability to place walls, choke off angles, deny defuses, and use her ultimate to establish control over an entire site makes her one of the most diverse controllers in the game. Sova’s lack of flashes and easy-to-counter utility makes him a less optimal choice than Skye, but still a fine option for certain maps. He also has utility that is easy to understand and implement yet also leaves a high skill ceiling for experienced players. His Recon Bolt and drone are essential tools for gathering information, his Shock Darts are vital to any post-plant, and Hunter’s Fury can swing a round in a multitude of viable ways. Sova is the most approachable initiator agent in the game for players looking to try that role for the first time. Sage is a great agent to start out on if you’ve never played VALORANT before, and she can be successfully utilized in a variety of styles. She lacks flank-watching abilities that make the other sentinels in her agent class strong picks, like Killjoy, but she still ranks in S Tier because of her approachability and diversity. Sage can exert an incredible amount of map control with her slows and wall and can reverse the momentum of a round with a well-timed heal or resurrection. Skye’s only downside is she is difficult to learn and succeeds not by getting kills herself but by racking up assists. ![]() Her flashes are also the best since they provide audio information even if they aren’t peeked off of. In addition, she is also the only agent besides Sage who can heal teammates, which is a massive asset in a game without respawns. ![]() Her info-gathering utility is not only informative but also oppressive. Skye is likely the most versatile initiator in VALORANT, and she skyrockets into S Tier for us because of her incredible potential to add value to her team. He was in the right place at the right time It was named Proceratops andrewsi after its discoverer. “They were found with the bones of a distant relative of Triceratops, a four-legged animal about the size of a full-grown hog,” explains Clive Coy, palaeontologist and avid collector of all things Andrews. It was in Mongolia, where he made the discovery of a lifetime: fossilized dinosaur bones and eggs in nests that proved dinosaurs laid eggs. ![]() With his new wife, photographer Yvette Borup, in tow, Andrews went on expeditions in Asia. While Andrews first love was mamalogy, his next was palaeontology. “Nobody had done that before.” He proved dinosaurs hatched from eggs-and got a dino named for him “He was out there taking the first live-action photos of whales,” says Bausum. Andrews brought with him cutting-edge technology in the form of a cumbersome camera. First, closer to home, he dug a 54-foot right whale out of ice in Long Island, before traveling to Korea to research his thesis on the gray whale-thought to likely be extinct. In lieu of a salary, Andrews convinced his bosses to fund his first proper expeditions on whales. “Those floors were walked on by my scientific gods,” he said looking back, so “they were not ordinary floors and I didn’t mind scrubbing them.” # (Over the course of thirty years, Andrews worked all the way up the ladder to become the museum director himself.) # He found the “extinct” gray whale was alive and well And so Andrews got his first gig as a janitor washing floors, later getting his masters in mammalogy from Columbia University. With neither an applicable degree nor experience beyond taxidermy, he begged the museum director for any job available. While canoeing together on ice-cold Rock River in March, says Bausum, “Monty dropped his paddle overboard and lunged for it, which tipped the boat.” While Andrews made his way to shore, he turned back to see his friend drowning. While at Beloit College, Andrews befriended an instructor named Montague White. “He became a superb writer and communicator who could talk his way into-and out of-anything.” A friend’s untimely death influenced his work from then on “You’d think he take biology or some kind of science, but he actually studied English, which eventually served him very well,” says Bausum. At Beloit College, Andrews chose a surprising topic of study. Numerous play sessions for me merely amounted to one or two attempts at the boss battles, and they always gave me dread knowing one was coming. This is offensive and inexcusably poor design. Its one thing to make them challenging, but most of these boss battles not only require significant planning, but are also largely battles of attrition that take 30-60 minutes per attempt in many cases.
